The other thing that made our stay such a pleasure was the service from Christian at the preferred pool and the service from our room concierge Carlos. They also led an Art Walk on Thursday nights that cost $20 and was well worth it. They take you to a beautiful swimming beach where you have time for a really nice dip. We enjoyed breakfasts at the Market Cafe, where the manager Eloy, the hostess Rebeca, and the chef David took outstanding care of us as well. With Esther's help we never waited for a table. When we ate at the other restaurants, Esther always made reservations for us, and we were always treated like VIPs. Esther arranged special meals for us from their amazing chef Jonatan, and our waiter Elisco watched over us to make sure our every wish was fulfilled. They provided absolutely outstanding service, and for the next 2 weeks they took care of us literally every day. Our first night at the resort we ate at Oceana Restaurant, where we met the manager Esther and the hostess Karen. The one thing that made this vacation truly outstanding for us was the service from the friendly and enthusiastic staff. My wife and I stayed at this resort November 1st through the 14th, 2022. Oceana has breakfast only for preferred members, pretty good!. Himestsu has teppanyaki, but needs reservation. Food: I wouldn't get sashimi on the menu, everything tasted fishy. If you book activities/excursions, they will offer you almost a 50% discount if you do a 90 minute sales presentation with them selling a $16K, $50k, $90K, $130K unlimited vacation membership (timeshare kinda). Get the Swim-Out suite on the 'Preferred' side if possible, totally worth it. I understand that customer service staff don't give a damn, but no matter how I do the math, the costs don't add up and it ruined my vacation at the end. I had to lay it out to them that this is insane and just got 50 minutes of spa as reimbursement. His manager (Claudia Scalese) basically said you could've totally cancelled it, but you took the roses so you can't anymore. When it came time to figure it out, it was basically there are no refunds, no accommodation, no nothing. When we got to the hotel, we upgraded to "Preferred" rooms because views are better and there's a concierge that just works with preferred members (+$1000/3 nights).
